Exploring nature with your family
Exploring Casselberry means exploring nature. Lakes and greenery define the city’s landscape. There are so many parks that will allow you to just take time to be together with your family. Kids can play and run while parents rest for a moment. Places such as the Secret Lake Park and the Lake Concord Park offer walkways, benches, shaded open lawns, kids' playgrounds, 150-year old oak trees, lit fountains (at night), sculptures and bike racks.
In the open lawns and the small amphitheatre, cultural events are often organized. During these occasions, you can park on the west side of City Hall or at the nearby Fifth Third Bank and Home Depot.
Exploring the city with your family
Exploring Casselberry means exploring its parks. Your itineraries will always include parks. Some are small and some are huge. Within the Secret Lake Park, the Recreation Center offers quality leisure activities and services for all ages. The programs are designed to assist, inform, entertain, and enrich the inhabitant’s quality of life, but tourists can also profit from them.
If you do not want to be separated from your children, you can attend yoga, Zumba, dance, Tai Chi and exercise classes. It is an opportunity to have fun with your family and with the locals, and to get healthy as well.
If you would like to teach your reluctant kids American arts and culture, take them the City Hall where you can admire colourful paintings, amazing mosaics, evocative sculptures, complex carvings and finely crafted pottery. Even tots will be happy and astounded. These City Hall exhibits are available Monday through Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you have good connections, you may get an invitation to attend exhibits from Central Florida's finest artists at the Art House. The simplest way to discover art and architecture is, however, to get around in town.
